Valentin Junet (ESR 8: ANX)
Early Stage ResearcherValentin Junet comes from Geneva, Switzerland. He obtained a bachelor and a master degree in
pure mathematics at ETH Zurich, including an exchange term at the University of Waterloo,
Canada. For his master thesis he worked on a new emmerging field of mathematical physics called
integrable probability, mixing probability theory, statistical mechanics and complex analysis. He
was able to imporve what can be found in the literature by giving a new desciption of a space of
symmetric elliptic functions, arising in integrable lattice models, through their analytic properties.
His interests lie in exploring and applying abstract ideas to obtain explicit computations and
concrete results.
